EVGA has launched the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti FTW3 Elite with black or white shroud options. This ACX 3.0 plus iCX cooling system graphics card features faster 12006MHz GDDR5X memory. Thanks to the faster VRAM it offers 528GB/s of memory bandwidth, claimed to be nine per cent better than previous GeForce GTX 1080 Ti models.

The new EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti FTW3 Elite leverages EVGA iCX technology, which the firm is eager to popint out isn't just the triple fan cooler you see in the product shots, that's the dual-slot compatible ACX 3.0. EVGA iCX includes nine additional sensors and MCUs embedded on the PCB, custom airflow chambers, onboard thermal LED indicators, custom die-cast base- and backplates, and full cooling monitoring and asynchronous control of the triple fan ACX cooler via EVGA Precision XOC.

Official highlights of the new FTW3 Elite cards, plus key specifications, are as follows:

  • CUDA Cores: 3584
  • Base Clock: 1569 MHz / Boost Clock: 1683 MHz
  • Includes EVGA iCX Technology
  • Onboard thermal LED indicators
  • 12GHz GDDR5X Memory on 352-bit bus running at 12006MHz
  • 528GB/s of Memory Bandwidth
  • 2-way SLI supported
  • Available in ELITE Black and White colours

EVGA's newest GTX 1080 Ti card (white option) is available now in the US priced at $849.99. In Europe I was presented with a 'Notify Me' button for both SKU colours, rather than one that took me to a purchase page.

I think all the 1080Ti will do 12GHz. Is it the same memory clocked faster?
