Cooler Master has written to HEXUS to inform us that it will be releasing a new improved version of its Seidon 120V closed loop liquid CPU cooler "this week". The new Seidon 120V Version 2 model RL-S12V-24PK-R2 features a 120mm Silencio FP Pressure fan and optimized pump technology.

Compared to the original Seidon 120V the new model spec offers both higher fan air pressure capabilities and quieter operation, two key performance stats which are important to users.

This new 120mm form factor cooler has the following feature highlights:

  • Factory filled with coolant sealed and pressure tested - requires zero maintenance for years.
  • Optimized pump and water block guarantee the best water flow and system performance.
  • 120mm Silencio FP fan with strong air pressure ensures lower and high performance.
  • Precision machined Micro channels maximize the water contact surface to quickly dissipate heat.
  • Tool-free Universal Mounting System compatible with all available Intel and AMD platform, include Intel LGA1150 and AMD Socket AM3+
  • Special designed 120mm radiator provides superior heat dissipation performance and fits in any case internally and externally.
  • Blue LED indicator lights up when operating.

The Seidon 120V Version 2 cooling block measures 62 x 62 x 36.4 mm, and the aluminium radiator is 154 x 119 x 27 mm. You can see it installed in a typical PC below. Full cooler specs are available here (PDF).

The new cooler is said to be launching at an RRP of £39.99 so will probably gravitate towards the £35 region for which you can currently pick up the original Seidon 120V. Also with the introduction of the Seidon 120V Version 2 you might benefit from reduced prices for the original one. As mentioned in the intro, Cooler Master has told us to expect availability of the Seidon 120V Version 2, in the UK, sometime this week.
