3D Prophet KYRO Series Optimised
drivers for Windows XP

Croydon, October 24th, 2001: Hercules, one of the world's leading 3D
graphics card manufacturers, proudly announced today a new driver
release for its 3D Prophet KYRO Series graphics cards, ensuring the
cards' compatibility with the highly-anticipated Windows XP operating
system from Microsoft® (available as of October 25th, 2001).

Hercules' 3D Prophet KYRO Series now offers optimized drivers for
Windows XP. Release 9.031 will be available on www.hercules.com from
October 24th, 2001. The new drivers improve the general performance of
KYRO-based 3D Prophet graphics cards.

With respect to 3D performance, the KYRO drivers for XP provide access
to the best new 3D features by offering solid fps rates boosted by
Tile Rendering architecture in both OpenGL® and D3D® games, all in a
future-proof software environment.

For 2D performance, release 9.031 drivers also integrate DXVA (DirectX®
Video Acceleration) which improves DVD video playback in both Windows
2000 and Windows XP. In addition to this, end users can now access a
new gamma settings panel, allowing them to adjust color settings (R,G,B)
independently. This panel also includes new contrast and brightness
sliders.

Hercules entered into a partnership  with STMicroelectronics in
March 2001, and since that date 9 cards based on the KYRO and KYRO II
chipsets have been launched successfully in the mainstream and
high-performance markets.

In keeping with its longstanding policy of offering budget-minded
consumers highly optimized and affordable gaming solutions, Hercules
has once again hit the mark with its 3D Prophet KYRO Series.
