PRESS RELEASE

Introducing a smarter way to watch high-definition videos of any size stored on incompatible file systems

FREIBURG, Germany – July 18, 2017 – Paragon Software Group (PSG), a cross-platform technology leader in mobile device and embedded system solutions, today releases Paragon NTFS USB Android, a software plugin that enables instant, non-root access to 40GB and beyond HD and 4K video files from external storage drives formatted with any popular file systems directly on Android TV and set-top boxes. Paragon NTFS USB Android allows Android users to watch high-definition and ultra high-definition videos of any size from previously incompatible removable media formatted in macOS and Windows file systems, such as NTFS, FAT32, or HFS+.

Android TV users can easily utilize storage media formatted by macOS and Windows operating systems on smartphones, tablets, digital media players, and home TV screens, and not just view but even copy files. Navigation and tasks can be accomplished simply and efficiently thanks to the technology’s intuitive and well-designed user interface that has been optimized to support larger screens.

How it works in just three easy steps:

1. Download the free Total Commander app for Android.

2. Install the free Paragon USB Plugin for Android.

3. Connect macOS or Windows-formatted disks or thumb sticks via USB cable. The app automatically detects the file system, prompting you to mount the storage device. The app offers a two-day trial mode, after which time the user is required to purchase access to the required file system, or unlock all file systems at once.

Paragon NTFS USB Android is based on Paragon Software Group’s exclusive Universal File System Driver (UFSD) technology, which enables any device to communicate and share files, regardless of operating system. Beyond access, Paragon UFSD technology provides the highest data throughput speeds possible — equivalent to, or exceeding, native performance.

Availability:
