PRESS RELEASE

Announcing the UK debut of the new MX BOARD 6.0 keyboard from CHERRY at this year’s Gadget Show Live in Birmingham!

First shown in January 2015 at the CES show in Las Vegas, the MX BOARD 6.0 will have its first showing to the UK audience at Gadget Show Live Professional in Birmingham on the 7th April. With some exclusive technology, this keyboard is designed for the professional user, giving an accurate, fast typing experience all enclosed in a stylish packaging that will enhance the look of any desktop.

Standard keyboards today are limited by their digital technology and have an average reaction time of approximately 20ms. Coupled with this, limitations of the digital controllers processing several keys simultaneously can cause errors to occur and this ultimately limits N key rollover and allows Ghosting effects. Ghosting is where the controller identifies a non-existent key signal. With the MX BOARD 6.0, this is eliminated using exclusive RK Technology.

RK, or ‘Real Key’ Technology replaces the digital controller with a highly sensitive analogue link between the controller and every single key-switch. With this, the MX BOARD 6.0 will read every key-signal at the exact moment of typing. Without any delay. This brings the reaction time down to just 1ms, provides Full-N-Key-Rollover and 100% Anti-Ghosting, even if all keys are pressed simultaneously.

RK coupled with CHERRY’s famous MX gold crosspoint key-switch provides world leading keyboard technology that’s designed with the professional in mind. The MX BOARD 6.0 includes Red MX switches that provide a linear, 45cN operating force and, for the first time in a CHERRY MX keyboard, backlit keys.

With additional features including an aluminium case with anti-fingerprint coating, a detachable magnetic wrist-rest, braided USB cable, Win-Key deactivation, 12 double function keys with multimedia function and 4 additional programmable multimedia keys, this is the next step in mechanical keyboard technology.

The MX BOARD 6.0 will be on show at Cherry’s stand V32 at Gadget Show Live from 7th to 12th April 2015. Journalist samples will become available from 13th April onwards with a prospective public release date of 12th May in the UK. UK RRP has been set to £149.99.
