PRESS RELEASE

Sharp Europe has launched the 32" PN-K322BH, a new generation touch display designed for creative workers who need a high resolution screen combined with capacitive touch operation. Designers who currently use multiple devices to run applications and display images can switch to the PN-K322BH for an all-in-one device which will let them work more intuitively, save money and increase desk space.

Ultra high resolution

The PN-K322BH includes Sharp's cutting edge IGZO technology and delivers 4K Ultra HD (QFHD) resolution (3,840 × 2,160 pixels) - a level of resolution four times that of 1080p full HD. Ultra HD is suitable for displaying the most intricate and detailed graphical content such as architectural designs or high-resolution photographic images.

Due to Sharp's revolutionary IGZO technology, which makes transistors smaller than ever before, the touch screen also has improved sensitivity. This means that the screen responds with an incredibly high degree of accuracy, ideal for working on images and video. IGZO also means lower power consumption, compared to other display devices.

Smart interactivity

The screen comes with a special touch pen, with an extra small 2mm tip, to make the most of the PNK322BH's high precision touch screen. This allows users to draw fine lines, easily underline text, add notations, draw illustrations and make amendments to onscreen content.

The touch screen monitor is capable of recognising an impressive 10 touch points at once, greatly expanding the range of touch interface applications that can be used by CAD designers, graphic designers, creative agencies and video games developers. It also includes a clever palm cancellation feature, where the device will recognise the pen, but ignores users leaning their palms on the screen.

This feature can be turned on and off as required.

Intuitive working style

Using an innovative stand, the screen can be used vertically, to display work, and at a low angle, letting designers work more intuitively and efficiently, without having to switch between multiple devices.

Darren Gaffey, EU Product Planning & Marketing Manager at Sharp Electronics Europe said: "We know that CAD users and graphic designers are juggling two or three HD displays and tablets to get the resolution and control that they need. We've designed the PN-K322BH to effectively combine three or four items into one to let them bring their ideas to life faster, more efficiently and more intuitively.
