PRESS RELEASE

• Two curved Philips monitors win the prestigious Red Dot Award: Product Design
• Both offer brilliant colours and various ergonomic features

Amsterdam, 20 April 2017 – MMD, the leading technology company and brand license partner for Philips monitors, announces that two Philips monitors have reaped Red Dot Award for Product Design in 2017. The award-winning displays are both curved, testifying to MMD’s dedication to combining advanced viewing experience with design excellence. The Red Dot Award, which every year attracts in excess of 5,000 submissions from over 50 nations, is one of the largest and most prestigious design competitions in the world.

“MMD is committed to innovative technology that makes work and play easier and more enjoyable for users. We are therefore very excited that two of our curved displays have been recognised by the Red Dot jury. We take this as a confirmation for our strategy and will further expand our line-up of curved monitors this year,” says Stefan Sommer, Director Marketing & Business Management Europe AOC and MMD.

The award-winning displays both feature curved screens, which create a subtle immersion effect by curving around the user’s line of vision. The 34-inch X Line LCD display (the 349X7FJEW) perfectly combines functionality with innovation, enhancing the wraparound experience with an ultra-narrow border for edge-to-edge viewing. CrystalClear, UltraWide Quad HD resolution, with 3440 x 1440 pixels and Ultra Wide-Color, provides excellent visuals in a panoramic format. This makes the monitor equally suitable for both work and entertainment.

The 32-inch M Line LCD display (the 328M6FJMB) is designed for an outstanding home entertainment experience and casual gaming. It offers a CrystalClear Quad HD resolution with 2560 x 1440 pixels, combined with AMD FreeSync and 144Hz fast refresh. Additionally, it features Ambiglow lighting. This unique feature creates a halo of light on and around the base that syncs with the display image and creates an even more immersive action in intense, competitive games.

Moreover, both monitors are equipped with LowBlue Mode and are height adjustable for health-friendly usage.
