London, UK, 9th April 2015 – Toshiba Europe GmbH today announces that its Portégé Z30, Tecra Z40 and Satellite Pro R50-B business laptops are now available with 5th generation Intel® CoreTM processors. Providing the latest generation of processors, improved battery life in addition to the existing features designed for business, there is now an enhanced choice whether for Corporate or Small and Medium sized businesses (SMBs).
The Portégé Z30, Tecra Z40 and Satellite Pro R50-B all now benefit from 5th generation Intel® CoreTM processors that meet business requirements for mobility and performance while consuming less energy. With all the performance needed to multi-task on the move or in the office, and the peace of mind that comes with built-in security features to help protect data, identities and network access, it’s ideal for businesses of all types. All models are available with up to Intel® CoreTM i7 processors.
With an already impressive battery life on each model, the Portégé Z30, Tecra Z40 and Satellite Pro R50-B all have a significant boost to their current offering enabling extended use on a single charge. For the ultra-mobile Portégé Z30, this means an increase from a maximum of 13.5[1] hours, to up to 171 hours. Ideal for business people who are always on the move, this improvement will enable users to benefit from almost two working days of operation without plugging in – making the Portégé Z30 perfect for in-demand executives who are often travelling to meetings.
The Tecra Z40 – designed to provide the optimum balance between mobility and productivity – will see a battery increase of up to 151 hours, from a maximum of 10.5[1] hours previously. Enabling a full working day worth of battery life, the Satellite Pro R50-B now delivers up to 81 hours of battery life.
The 33.8 cm (13.3”) Portégé Z30 and 35.6 cm (14.1”) Tecra Z40 are targeted at business executives who spend a lot of time on the move and are looking for a premium, high-powered and ultra-mobile computing solution that performs at speed regardless of their location. With advanced security features such as Trusted Platform Module (TPM), common docking and Intel® vPro[2] technology, both models make it easy for IT departments to monitor and maintain across the range.
The 39.6 cm (15.6”) Satellite Pro R50-B brings to life the concept of a reliable, affordable and value-added laptop for SMBs and is backed up by Toshiba’s Reliability Guarantee[3] by combining dedicated business features with a slim, lightweight chassis.
