Amsterdam, 5 September 2013 - The display expert MMD, a leading technology business and the brand license partner for Philips monitors, will be unveiling its exciting new 61 cm (24″) Full HD monitor for the ultimate viewing experience in gaming at the Philips booth no 101 in hall 22. The 144 Hz gaming monitor boasts an incredibly fast 144 Hz refresh rate and ultra-short pixel response time of only one millisecond for lag-free, real-time gaming experiences. Discerning gamers will be completely won over by the numerous features this state-of-the-art display comes with including, for example, the specifically developed remote control.
What makes the 144 Hz Gaming Monitor so unique, besides its extremely attractive appearance, is that it has been designed especially for gamers. This top-notch display builds on a wealth of feedback that its developers have received from partners and e-sports enthusiasts over the years. Furthermore, it comes with a state-of-the-art TN panel which ensures an extremely short response time of only one millisecond for richly detailed, extra-clear and crisp images without ghosting effects. In addition, this advanced gaming display redraws the screen up to 144 times per second, 2.4 x faster than a normal display, to deliver super-smooth, brilliant pictures. The 144 Hz refresh rate not only minimises eye fatigue, but also offers other key benefits like reduced input lag and more frames per second. This is particularly important when playing first-person shooters because enemy movements can be detected more quickly and more clearly. And to further enhance the performance with different types of games, MMD has even equipped the 144 Hz Gaming Monitor with a specialised, customisable on-screen display.

This specially designed remote control provides quicker access to gaming pre-sets. Additional up and down function keys allow users to navigate the OSD menu quite easily.

Lets users change the screen view of the gaming display to suit their own personal preference.
Full set of connectors
The Full HD model displays signals via a complete set of connectors (VGA, Dual Link DVI, DisplayPort and universal HDMI). The display also accommodates a USB 3.0 hub which not only supports superfast data transfers, but also offers fast charging of mobile devices. Last, but certainly not least, an optional MHL cable allows the playback of HD video and audio content from compatible Android devices.
Perfect ergonomics and robustness
Next to 130 mm height adjustability, the tiltable monitor also features a swivel and pivot function which allows you to turn the panel by 90° and bring it into portrait format within only seconds. This enjoyable ergonomic flexibility is complemented by the possibility of mounting the monitor on the wall.
Green tech
The 144 Hz gaming monitor is extremely energy-efficient too by using the latest LED backlights. With consumption of only 18.58 watts in on mode (and only half a watt in stand-by), it meets key regulations such as Energy Star 6.0. The new display is also manufactured without using any lead or mercury.
