New touch displays, Smart All-in-Ones, and superb Miracast technology are just a few examples of the exciting new Philips display innovations that MMD will be unveiling in Berlin

Amsterdam, 3 September 2013 - IFA is coming up soon. The world's leading consumer electronics fair will be opening its doors again this year in Berlin, Germany, from 6-11 September. MMD, a leading provider of state-of-the art displays and the brand license partner for Philips monitors, will be presenting its latest range of high-performance monitors at the Philips booth no. 101 in hall 22. Visitors can look forward to experiencing Smart All-in-One monitors as well as several other new displays for even more true-to-life gaming experiences. Other highlights include products that feature advanced touch capabilities, as well as USB and Miracast connectivity.

From the playground to the office and living room

IFA 2013 will mark the world premiere for MMD in unveiling its brand-new Philips Touch displays which will make life easier for countless users. These 23-inch Windows-certified multi-touch displays featuring 10-point capacitive touch, full glass screens, webcams, speakers and microphones, are fully compatible with PCs and notebooks. The new displays are just perfect for consumers who are looking to combine stylish design with the full capabilities of multi-touch in a large full HD screen. Furthermore, they allow users to fully leverage key features of the Windows® operating system and have more fun playing games that include touch technology.

Visitors to the booth will also have the chance to discover new Smart All-in-One displays complete with Android-integrated apps for exciting multimedia and gaming as well as fast internet access. Besides being known for their ease of use, they also guarantee a seamless display experience, not just for users in internet cafés, schools and hotel lobbies, but also living rooms and bedrooms, of course. Whether looking to download new apps, play interactive games or simply browse the web, these displays cannot be topped when it comes to their versatility. Avid gamers of all ages who are addicted to speed will also enjoy trying out the new 144 Hz gaming monitor. This Phillips display designed especially "for gamers by gamers" promises an immersive experience thanks to its outstanding 144 Hz refresh rate produces ultra-smooth, brilliant images. The new display offers a wide range of different gaming modes and even comes with a SmartKeypad remote control for the ultimate gaming enjoyment. Other key features include special gaming pre-sets, Smart MHL for easy charging of mobile devices that are connected to the display, and plenty of other convenient connectivity options.

The emphasis at IFA will also be on connectivity in form of a brand-new, versatile 23-inch Philips display boasting wireless connectivity based on the Miracast standard. This new model allows users to stream mobile content wirelessly for perfect viewing on a more spacious display with vibrant colours and brilliant resolution. Thanks to the stylish and ultra-slim Blade design it not only scores in the looks department, but also in terms of excellent image performance delivered by an IPS panel with typically wide viewing angles.

At this year's IFA, Philips desktop displays will be shown together with large Public Signage displays which enable businesses, public services and other information providers to entertain and inform audiences by streaming up-to-date content in perfect quality, without external media players.

Visitors will have plenty of opportunities to check out the new displays and convince themselves of how well they perform. The respective products are either already available for sale in leading electronics stores or will hit the market a couple of months from now.
