We've been strong advocates for readers using solid-state drives (SSDs) in all of their systems. The creamy-smooth, zippy feeling that comes from near-instant access has to be seen and felt to be genuinely appreciated.
Adding further weight to the use of SSDs as boot-drives has been lent by febrile price-cutting in recent weeks, as it is now possible to pick up a quality 120GB drive for under £70 all in. Just this week there appears to be a hiatus in the savage day-on-day cuts we've become accustomed to. Prices have stabilised somewhat, leading to an interesting question. Do you believe that now is a good a time as any to purchase an SSD, or will you keep on waiting in the expectation that prices will continue to plummet in the near future?
