Codemasters have in the past produced some great racing games, addictive, challenging and fun to play. However this is not one of them. The game is very similar in design to Race Driver: GRID and the original Dirt.

The tracks are quite nice, gravel, tarmac, mud and dirt (obviously!).

Various game modes including Rally, Raid (4x4), Time Trial, Gate Crasher (Timed Checkpoint), Landrush (Off-Road Buggy)

Locations spread across the globe, each presenting a different backdrop, desert, jungle, mountain, city (arena style).

As you win races you unlock more locations, cars and game modes.

The graphics are quite impressive and some of the tracks are visually stunning. What did surprise me was the length of some of the tracks.

So it has all the components of a great racing game, yet it all seems very repetitive regardless of game mode, location or car. The lack of weather effects and racing conditions also let the game down.

If you're an off-road racing fan then this is worth a try, but it's not for everyone.

Lacking in the gameplay front, very repetitive after a while. Nice Graphics.
