In a Microsoft presentation at yesterdays Gamefest in Seattle, product unit manager Robert Walker confirmed that they are looking at developing a new advanced Xbox 360 control pad.
The new controller would aim to improve the gameplay specifically for first person shooters by concentrating on the movement and sensitivity of the right thumbstick, which is currently used for targeting an opponent.
The current gamepad would not be replaced but the new one would be offered as an alternative to those buying the console or for those who are looking for an alternative.
With Halo 3 and Gears Of War on the way, a new controller may arrive at just the right time.
