Rebellion Entertainment has announced that it will be unleashing Sniper Elite Zombie Army Trilogy for Windows PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on 6th March 2015. This trilogy bundles the two previous Zombie excursions of Sniper Elite with an all new zombie infested spinoff.

The latest game in the trilogy is described as a "terrifyingly intense third person shooter set in a gruesome alternate vision of World War II". Players can fight alone or team up with up to three comrades to try and wipe out the zombie nazi masses. The undead you will face include the likes of "Undead Super Soldiers, Armoured Skeletons, Zombie Snipers, Chainsaw Elites, Fire Demons and more". Ultimately you will face off against the zombie boss Fuhrer.

A new option is to play the "brutal horde mode," against unlimited and increasingly tough zombie nazi beasts. This mode allows you to play in teams of up to four recruits and across five special horde maps.

New to the trilogy is the ability to play as one of eight playable heroes including a choice of four female characters. You can enjoy mowing down zombies with a smorgasbord of weapons which include handguns, rifles and explosive traps. For further gratification during your zombie carnage sessions Rebellion has brought along the X-Ray Kill camera. It is also suggested players can tactically dismember zombie foes by blowing off their body parts.

As usual the publishers are trying to entice gamers to pre-order. PC gamers can get up to 60 per cent off if they already own Nazi Zombie Army 1 or 2 (using Steam). Right now there is an additional offer of 50% off Sniper Elite 3 on checkout. Anyone, including PS4 and Xbox One users who ask to be notified on game release, can claim "terrifying MP3s from the Zombie Army Trilogy EP, Desktop Backgrounds, Console Themes and more."

Good grief. I thought the market had hit ‘peak nazi zombie’ ages ago.
