Control four sets of minions

HEXUS: What can you tell us about the characters/minions in the game?
Andrew:There's a degree of management involved throughout the levels as you take control of four groups of minions and the Overlord himself, moving through the levels attacking enemies, picking up treasure and upgrades, solving puzzles, and finally reaching an end of level boss. The Overlord can fight and use spells against enemies, but it's the minions that will determine your success. The Overlord and the minions both level up as you progress making them more powerful and allowing them to access higher grade weapons and spells. Each set of minions has unique features, meaning that you need to pick and choose which ones to use in any given situation.

First up is the 'browns' who are the fighting and melee minions. They can tackle pretty much anything in the game. They start off naked, carrying just a club, but as you progress they'll pick up armour and weapons that drop from enemies or are found in crates. The 'browns' act as the front-line.

The 'Reds' are the archers, who are weak defensively and throw mini fireballs. They don't pick up weapons, but they can pick up armour and their fireballs become larger as you progress.

The 'Greens' are the stealth minions, effectively assassins. If you get these guys face to face with anything they'll die, but if you can sneak them round the back of the enemy they'll jump on their back and back-stab them.

Finally, the 'Blues' are the magical minions, doing magical damage to magical creatures. They're also the healing class so they'll resurrect minions by running into battle, picking up a dead minion on their shoulder and bringing them back to the Overlord or a safe point to resurrect them.

HEXUS: How many minions will we be able to control at one time and is each set unlocked from the outset?
Andrew:You'll be able to control up to 50 minions at a time, but to gain more minions you need to pick up life force, which drops from fallen enemies. The life force is represented by different colours, so if you pick up a green globe you'll be able to add to the 'greens' and so on. Initially you'll start off the game with one group of minions, but you'll quickly be in control of all four groups.
