Low, low, low

You may be wondering what I'm doing posting at this hour. The truth is that I'm finishing off writing about two graphics cards from AMD. It's no secret that the Radeon HD 6850 and HD 6870 cards will be launching early tomorrow morning, and you will be able to read all about what makes them tick and how they compare against a glut of other mid-price cards.

The press is bound by a non-disclosure agreement to not directly release pricing or specifications. The same NDA doesn't apply to well-known retailers, however, as a number have jumped the gun and listed the two Radeon 6000-series cards already.

Ebuyer has the keenest pre-order pricing in the UK, it seems, and here's why:

Pricing
This is a screen-grab from a (currently) active page. If the pricing holds true, the Radeon HD 6850 will be an absolute steal. Wait a few hours to find out why. Meanwhile, the Radeon HD 6870's retail listing for £176 is also keener than predicted by AMD.

NVIDIA's already moved its GeForce GTX 460 and GTX 470 pricing once today. It may have to do it again if the new Radeons do indeed come in at these unexpectedly low levels.

Thanks to HEXUS.community member HalloweenJack for this heads-up.

Very good indeed. Got to wait for the 6970 spec and price before jumping in though.
this couldn't be timed better, buying a rig in 11 days and it (currently) has 2 gtx460 768s in it..either gonna upgrade to 1gb models or switch over to the new AMDs

will find out tomorrow for sure :D
I got a better deal off scan. £133 delivered (thanks to Hexus), XFX instead of Sapphire and same delivery.

I've used ebuyer before and they were great, but it's annoying having to pay for delivery charges when others dont :p (I'm kinda out of the way).

Anyway, bloody good job hexus and scan. :)
They do free delivery over £49.99
miniyazz
They do free delivery over £49.99

Ebuyer? To certain areas only. Considering I'm 30 miles from Glasgow I'm not exactly in Timbuktu but that's enough to disallow ebuyers free delivery AND their next day delivery.
