With Intel announcing 34nm solid state drives (SSDs) that are said to be quicker and cheaper than most others out there, you'd think that other manufacturers would be left wondering how they're ever going to compete.
Not Taiwan's A-DATA, though, it's ploughing ahead by expanding its line of XPG products to include the all-new SX95 SSDs.
The drives, available in 32GB, 64GB, 128GB and 256GB (pictured) capacities, are said to feature a new architecture and controller design that helps boost performance. Combined with an onboard DRAM cache, we're looking at read and write speeds of up to 230MB/s and 180MB/s, respectively, for the larger 128GB/256GB drives, and up to 210MB/s and 140MB/s for the smaller 64GB/32GB models.
Each drive will be backed by a two-year warranty, but there's no mention of pricing or availability yet.
