It's been over a month since we last saw our flying friend, the AR.Drone 2.0, however creator, Parrot, has announced that the Drone will be up for pre-order online or in-store at Brookstone in the US from tomorrow, for release in May.

The impressive quad-copter will retail for $299 (likely £259 - £279). As a reminder of its new features, the copter will come equipped with a front-mounted 1,280 x 720 camera, HD flight recording with YouTube and Picasa uploads, a new flight mode 'Absolute Flight', allowing the pilot to no longer need to factor in device orientation, the ability to perform a fully automated 'flip' stunt, an extra pressure sensor for improved vertical stability and LEDs for easy identification of device position and orientation.

Whilst the current announcement was in relation to the US, we expect UK availability and at the very least, importation options, to not be far behind.

Close, it drops the Drone! It's an all-engines cut-off.
Depending on how loud it is, that could actually be really awesome for video recording
