Stocks limited due to unprecedented consumer demand
London UK – 17th August, 2016 – Samsung Electronics Europe today announced the release of the Galaxy Note7 for pre-order across Europe. Stock availability for the pre-order phase of the European launch will be limited in order to effectively manage unprecedented consumer demand for the new Galaxy Note device.
Consumer interest in the Note7 has already exceeded that seen with the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge, in the shape of consumer registrations on Samsung’s digital channels. With such a high level of demand, Samsung intends to limit pre-order in order to ensure that it can satisfy consumer demand when the device goes on general sale in Europe next month.
Conor Pierce, Vice President of IT & Mobile Samsung Electronics UK & Ireland, commented: “As the success of our Galaxy S7, S7 edge & Gear VR illustrated earlier this year, we know there is high demand for our premium smartphones and the Note7’s combination of refined design and purposeful innovations such as an enhanced S Pen and iris scanning adds to our premium portfolio’s appeal.”
“Market reaction, combined with extremely positive feedback from our carrier and retail partners, indicates that the Note7 will exceed our original sales forecasts for the region by some distance. As such, the number of pre-order units will be limited due to the unprecedented demand, which will enable us to meet as much of this anticipated demand as possible and minimise any potential consumer disappointment when the device goes on general sale next month.”
European consumers can pre-order the new Note7 from today and through Samsung’s online store and selected carrier and retail partners, pre-order customers will be rewarded with the brand new Samsung Gear VR headset.
