Third generation mini device to hit stores from 7th August
London, UK - 31st July, 2014 - Samsung Electronics today announced that customers in the UK will be able to buy the Galaxy S5 mini, a compact version of Samsung's flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S5, from selected online and high street retailers, including Samsung Experience Stores and Carphone Warehouse, from Thursday 7th August. The stylish and affordable Galaxy Young 2 will be available the following week.
Kitted with a 4.5-inch HD Super AMOLED display, the Galaxy S5 mini delivers powerful performance in a stylish, compact design. Like the Galaxy S5, the Galaxy S5 mini features a unique perforated pattern on the back cover creating a sleek look, along with a premium, soft touch grip. The Galaxy S5 mini also lets you enjoy some of the great features of the flagship Galaxy S5 including IP67 certification, Ultra Power Saving Mode, a heart rate monitor, fingerprint scanner, and connectivity with the latest Samsung wearable devices.
The Galaxy S5 mini comes equipped with a powerful Quad Core 1.4 GHz processor and 1.5GB RAM for seamless multi-tasking, faster webpage loading, softer UI transition, and quick power up. The high-resolution 8MP camera delivers crisp and clear photos and videos, while the Galaxy S5 mini's support of LTE Category 4 means you can enjoy ultra-fast downloads of your favourite movies and games while you're on-the-go.
