PRESS RELEASE

LightStream ‘PJD6' Network Series delivers all-encompassing curvature design, amazing audio-visual performance, 2x HDMI for optional wireless media streaming and 3LCD throw-ratio-match options

Amsterdam, Netherlands (Feb. 10, 2015) - ViewSonic Corp., a leading global provider of visual solution products, introduces the LightStreamTM PJD6 Network Series of Projectors. The LightStream line delivers the ultimate in True-to-Life colours in any lighting condition.  Based on the company's SuperColor technology the days of sacrificing colour accuracy for brightness levels are gone. Ideal for any classroom or meeting room, the new LightStreamTM PJD6 Network Series delivers smart features including ViewSonic's HDMI-MHL PortAllTM for secured wireless streaming, SonicExpert for enhanced integrated sound, and a throw ratio ideal for replacing 3LCD projectors (available on selected PJD6 models).

With SuperColorTM technology that features a newly designed colour wheel and 3200 to 3800 lumens of brightness these projectors offer true-to-life colour in any lighting condition. The PJD6 series includes XGA and WXGA resolutions, 15000:1 Dynamic contrast, lamp life of up to 10,000 hours and horizontal & vertical keystone correction with corner adjustment. SonicExpert - enhanced sound technology delivers best in class audio performance from the integrated (10W/16W) speaker for greater frequency range and minimized distortion at even the highest levels.  Flexible inputs include 2x HDMI (1x MHL-HDMI for media streaming dongles), RJ45 (for networking), 2xVGA, Composite Video, and S-Video.

ViewSonic are also addressing the requirements of those looking replace their existing 3LCD projectors with the long lasting colours, superior contrast ratios and more affordable running costs that DLP solutions offer. Many of these customers want a replacement projector that can be easily swapped to an existing ceiling mount and fit an image within a pre-installed screen. DLP projectors were previously unable to meet this requirement due to a typical throw ratio of 1.8 - 2.1 compared to the average 1.5 - 1.8 throw ratio of 3LCD. ViewSonic are now bringing to market a range of projectors with a 1.5 - 1.8 (or above) throw ratio to open up a whole new world of replacement possibilities for existing 3LCD users, resellers and system integrators.

"ViewSonic is looking to achieve significant growth in the coming year" explains Mark Lufkin, Managing Director at ViewSonic Europe Ltd. "We are aiming to disrupt the replacement market with our new range of DLP projectors which have been designed specifically to target the replacement of traditional 3LCD projectors. This has been made possible through exciting new improvements on an already feature-packed projector line-up".

These network series of projectors also look fantastic but ViewSonic haven't just settled for premium curved design and luxurious finish. They also paid attention to the finer details like a hidden compartment for an MHL-HDMI media streaming dongle like ViewSonic's own WPG-300 or Google Chromecast. To complete the exceptional design ViewSonic also include a cable management cover which attaches easily to the rear of the projector and hides unsightly wires.

The new WPG-300 wireless presentation gateway is an HDMI dongle which can be used with the LightStream PortAllTM feature.  The compact HDMI dongle offers multiple functions including WiFi display, media streaming, screen mirroring and much, much more. ViewSonic's new wireless dongle will be available in Q2 with an RSP of (USD) €149; £129; $199 incl. VAT.

The new LightStreamTM PJD6 Networkable series include the PJD6350, PJD6355, PJD6352LS, and PJD6552LWS. All will be available between March - April 2015 with RSP's ranging from €579 to €759; £459 to £599; $679 to $889 incl. VAT. There will be more PJD6 Network Series projectors to follow later in the year.
