PRESS RELEASE

London, England - Philips have confirmed the UK introduction of the Bluetooth version of the award winning Fidelio M1 headphone - the Fidelio M1BT, on-sale now with a suggested retail price of £249.99

The key criteria in the design of the wireless version of the M1 was to ensure an identical Fidelio level sound quality to the wired model.

To guarantee superb wireless performance, the M1BT is one of the first headphones to adopt the latest Bluetooth 4.0 standard along with APT-X (Android), AAC (Apple) and SBC for superior music streaming.

Additional development work was required to compensate for the small reduction in body volume due to the inclusion of the Bluetooth receiver and battery.

An improved 40mm driver with better high frequency extension was specified with a high magnetic, neodymium motor assembly to provide wide dynamic range.

The M1BT also features a revised bass port configuration with two felt covered ports replacing the single bass pipe of the M1. The design retains the acoustic closed-back architecture to ensure excellent noise isolation whilst delivering a controlled and dynamic bass,

The Philips Fidelio M1BT headphones have been crafted for durability and long-lasting comfort. Easy access controls are positioned on the ear cans allowing a single touch volume adjustment. Deluxe memory foam ear-pads, made from breathable materials, are designed to disperse pressure and heat build-up so that they not only sound brilliant but feel exceptionally comfortable too.

The M1BT is also lightweight thanks to the carefully selected materials, such as an aluminum hinge and real leather headband with midnight blue stitching, combining to make the headphones stylish, durable and comfortable.

The Bluetooth functionality, new to the M1 range, allows users to enjoy both their music and phone calls wirelessly. Controls on the ear ‘cans' make it easy to switch tracks without pulling out a music player. The M1 Bluetooth edition works with a wide range of Bluetooth smartphones, tablets and music players.
