Gem Distribution is planning to bring the Logitech K300 keyboard to the retail channel at the start of next month, with Computer 2000 and Ingram Micro also receiving stock.

The K300 is a wired keyboard that's expected to cost £29.99. It hasn't officially been launched yet, so there's no press release or specific details, but we understand that it is targeted at consumers looking to upgrade the peripherals bundled with their PCs.

"The Logitech K300 is a low-cost, compact USB keyboard for PC that will appeal to buyers looking to add some style to their desktops," said Gary Read, UK distribution account manager at Logitech. The attractive curved design is complemented with a soft orange backlight to highlight the media function keys."

Neil Handa, marketing manager at Gem, said: "Most people do replace the peripherals their PC comes with and Logitech is a market leader for replacements. They're a trusted brand and cover the whole range of price points. This product fits perfectly into that range."

Does this really justify posting as a story? I don't see what is newsworthy or innovative about a mid range £30 wired keyboard.

you haven't been into hexus.parrotpressrelease before? :p
Overpriced IMHO.

You can get logitech keyboards that are wireless for cheaper than that. Was thinking there has to be something special about this keyboard, am I missing it?!

without copping a feel i couldn't really say, it looks to be a step up in quality from their ultra-flat though, which i use at work and love
I'll be camping outside on launch day to be first in the queue to get one. You can keep your Core i7, this keyboard is what I've always dreamed of.
