Appointment strengthen focus on key regions in support of driving deeper customer and partner relationships
LONDON, UK — NOVEMBER 4 , 2015 — AMD (NASDAQ: AMD) today announced that Corporate Vice President Worldwide Component Channel Darren Grasby, 45, has been appointed to the newly-created position of president of AMD EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa).

Darren is a proven leader who is ideally suited to drive deeper customer, partner, and stakeholder relationships across EMEA as a part of helping AMD accomplish our long-term business goals,” said Dr. Lisa Su, president and chief executive officer at AMD. “Over the past eight years Darren has proven to be an effective and results-driven leader. This new role will allow him to broaden his influence and reach in supporting AMD’s customers, partners and employees while also promoting and enhancing our regional reputation and prominence as an innovative technology pioneer.”

About Darren Grasby
Darren Grasby is Corporate Vice President Worldwide Component Channel and General Manager for AMD in Europe. In his role he is responsible for driving AMD’s Global Channel and Regional OEM sales organization while building better and closer relationships with key customers and influencers and driving the platform message into the component channel.
With AMD since 2007 and based in UK, previously Darren served as Corporate Vice President Sales & Marketing for the EMEA region. Prior to that, he held the position of Corporate Vice President of EMEA Channel and SMB Management at AMD leading an organization that covered Europe and emerging regions, including the Middle East and Russia.
He was instrumental in combining the Channel sales organization in EMEA under one sales team, driving the AMD platform message, growing embedded and local OEMs and increasing sales coverage across EMEA.
Darren has been in the high-tech industry for over 20 years, with more than 16 years of experience focused on PC/peripheral manufacturing facilities across the globe. Prior to his tenure at AMD, he founded and led several successful regional computer manufacturing companies.
