We first saw the MSI X99 GODLIKE GAMING motherboard back at Computex. This is a motherboard that really benefits from a video presentation as it features RGB lighting with 2048 colours, controlled by an Android (or iOS) app. The lights can change colour and animate in breathing, flashing and waving schemes. So if you didn't watch it at the time, take two minutes to check out our video here. While this is a headlining and obviously eye-catching feature (dubbed 'Mystic Light' by MSI) there are a lot of other juicy gaming and performance features present in the MSI X99 GODLIKE GAMING motherboard.

MSI wrote to HEXUS today to say that the X99 GODLIKE GAMING motherboard has been released. The firm goes into lots of details about the hardware present on its GODLIKE board. You can see an overview of all the highlights on the official product page. That page also lets you play with the Mystic Light functionality thanks to some HTML magic.

Networking performance is important to gamers, especially eSports players, and the new X99 GODLIKE GAMING motherboard features Killer DoubleShot-X3 Pro Wi-Fi AC 1535 with ExtremeRANGE technology combined with two Killer LANs for good online gameplay and media streaming performance. We are told that the Killer Network Manager with Advanced Stream Detect helps prioritise games above other network tasks.

This motherboard is said to be optimised for multiple graphics cards and features multiple armour protection for sensitive components, including the PCI-Express chips, to help reduce EM interference. Armour is also present over the I/O backplate, the chipset heatsink, and the audio subsystem. Heatpipes built into the motherboard help keep it operating coolly.

MSI has integrated Audio Boost 3 Pro, powered by Nahimic Sound Technology into the GODLIKE in an isolated part of the PCB. Its premium components provide high quality sounds via both high impedance headphones and 8-channel HD audio speaker arrays.

For peripheral connectivity users will be able to enjoy USB 3.1 ports front and back (both Type A and Type C varieties). USB Audi Power and MSI Super Charger fast charging is supported. MSI has fitted a dedicated gaming device port (PS/2). Inside you benefit from modern I/O including Twin turbo M.2, M.2 TO MINI-SAS HD (optional) plus SATA Express ports.

MSI's Turbo Socket (with 203 connector pins), OC Genie and OC Engine help you make the most out of your modern Intel processor and DDR4 memory configuration. Of course this board is also furnished with the usual MSI Military Class components plus DrMOS next-gen Mosfet, Hi-c capacitors and aluminium core capacitors and supper ferrite chokes.

Full n-key roll-over and reduced latency.
Never mind all that rubbish, I didn't know they partner with Audi to produce the audio chip. Or why…

:) Small typo!
