Last November NZXT released a limited edition of its H440 with Hyper Beast livery and today the S340 gets some similar limited edition colourful psychedelic art treatment. Following the tried and trusted strategy of 'if it aint broke don't fix it', NZXT continues to proliferate its S340 chassis designs. HEXUS reviewed the original S340 back in January 2015 and found it to be a great choice on a budget with only very minor negatives. Since that time NZXT has revisited the 'Source 340' a number of times; once with the help of Razer, in an Elite version, and in snazzy NZXT purple LED versions.

Today NZXT has announced another makeover for the S340 chassis. This limited edition custom finished case is based upon the popular S340 Elite mid-tower, so you can check over the HEXUS review to read about all the practical functionality on offer here. In a nutshell, NZXT's colourful S340 Elite Hyper Beast retains the same clean mid-tower buildability, excellent cable management, fully filtered intakes, captive thumb screws, and water cooling ready construction.

"From the overall excitement surrounding last year’s H440 Hyper Beast, we knew we had to collaborate with Brock Hofer again to deliver something even wilder," said Johnny Hou, NZXT's founder and CEO. "We love CS:GO and share the same passion that the community has when it comes to showcasing their prized possessions with the coolest artwork. The S340 Elite Hyper Beast is an extension of this and truly allows the dedicated CS:GO fan to turn one of the game's most popular weapons skins into a one-of-a-kind build".

The main features of the S340 Elite Hyper Beast are:

  • Limited Edition S340 Elite with Hyper Beast Design
  • Special gradient coloured cable management bar
  • Red LED on Power button
  • 4mm tempered-glass side-panel
  • Black VR cable management puck
  • Front VR accessibility
  • Interior cable management clamps
  • Additional SSD tray

Like the H440 Hyper Beast before it, the S340 Elite Hyper Beast is limited to a run of 1337 (individually numbered) units. In the UK it will become available in the latter half of May. Pricing is set at £184.99 inc VAT - a near £100 premium on the regular S340 Elite.

ARRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!

How is it people can hate on RGB so much, yet still allow something like this to live???!!!
It looks like someone stripped the skin off a tattooed person and wrapped it around this case….. :surprised:
Mother always said, “If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all!”. So, erm, I'll shut up then.
I can see how it might appeal to a lot of CS:GO players :)

But I agree, lot of dosh for nothing :P
I like the idea of the 80's/90's arcade machine design. Would I pay this much for it, and would I really still like the design after I have seen it for a few hours? no and no.
Spray it all black and it might look decent . lol.
