Developer of the highly-anticipated title Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, Infinity Ward, has recently dropped details on some of the features set to hit with the PC version of the game. From anti-cheat systems to dedicated servers, it's all there. Check out what they had to say in a recent Q&A on the Call of Duty forum.

"We value the PC player and have gone to great lengths in providing a more rich experience for our players," said community manager Robert Bowling. "We keep our ear near the ground and try to deliver items most requested."

"The big feature for MW3 we are supporting is Dedicated Servers, this includes a server browser, voting, RCON, and more."

"Lastly we are embracing the Steam platform by integrating fully with Steam including friends list, Steam achievements."

"We do wide testing across all tiers of PC," Bowling added. "In our office we have an old min spec machine that receives just as much care as our top tier PC. We've also engaged the hardware manufactures for wider compatibility testing for us to ensure an optimised bug free launch."

Bowling also went on to detail the problem of cheating, which is an issue that plagued previous Modern Warfare titles.

"Security is a major focus for Modern Warfare 3, especially coming out of Modern Warfare 2," he said. "We will be utilizing multiple methods of Anti-cheat and Security methods, including Steam's VAC system, CEG, and our own propriety methods implemented to provide multiple layers of defence in keeping online multiplayer fun, fair, and secure for all players without limiting the control they expect on PC."

Check out the trailer below and keep an eye out for Modern Warfare 3 when it's released on November 8th, 2011.

basically they're worried about Battlefield 3 stealing 100% of pc gamers, so they have brought back features that are standard to PC games lol! Wasted effort IMO as it just wont be able to compete on the same level.

But appreciate them finally looking at pc slightly seriously.
At least they are taking the PC market a bit more seriously, but as the above poster said some of the things there are just standard anyway for PCs.

This was in COD4, why is this now touted as a big feature, do they think we forget it was there then removed?
Be afraid IW…be afraid…
